These facts come from the journal’s settings in the portal, so they always describe how the journal actually works.
Open access
Every article is free to read and download as soon as it is published. Readers do not need to register or pay.
There is no embargo period and no paywall, and the journal does not publish any content that is available only to subscribers. Notices of correction and retraction are free to read in the same way.
Copyright and licence
Copyright in each article rests with Centre for Legal Research and Studies. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) licence, which lets anyone share and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes, provided they give proper credit.
Authors transfer copyright to Centre for Legal Research and Studies by signing the journal’s copyright form after acceptance. Under the licence, anyone may copy and redistribute the article in any medium or format, and may adapt it, provided that:
- they give appropriate credit: the authors, the title, the journal and the DOI, with a link to the licence;
- they indicate if they have made changes;
- the use is not primarily intended for commercial advantage or payment.
Commercial reuse, such as including an article in a book sold for profit, needs the written permission of Centre for Legal Research and Studies. Requests may be sent to the editorial office at editor.jgjg@academyclrs.org. Material that an article reproduces from other sources, with permission, remains subject to its owner’s terms.
Authors keep the right to be identified as the authors of their work. Because the licence permits non-commercial reuse, they may use their article in teaching, in a thesis or in later scholarly writing, citing the original publication.
Self-archiving
Authors may deposit the published version of their article in institutional or subject repositories, with a link to the article on this site.
Authors may also share the version they submitted, for example as a preprint, at any time. Once the article is published, please add a link from any earlier version to the published article and cite its DOI, so that readers find the final text.
Archiving
Published content is preserved through the PKP Preservation Network and in Vidhi Aagaz’s backups.
The preservation arrangements mean that the journal’s published articles will remain available to readers even if the journal stops publishing or its website changes.
Identifiers
Every article has a Crossref DOI under the prefix 10.63108.
A DOI is a permanent link to the article. The journal deposits the details of each article with Crossref, including its title, authors and publication details, so that indexes and libraries can find and link to it. Please use the DOI link whenever you cite an article from the journal.
Cost to authors
Open access does not depend on any payment by readers or by authors. The journal charges authors nothing, as set out on the Author charges page.
