Submission Preparation Checklist

Every submission must meet these requirements. One that does not will be returned before review.

  • The work is original, is not under consideration elsewhere, and has not been published before.
  • Three files are attached: the manuscript, a similarity report and an AI report.
  • The similarity report and the AI report are separate documents, as every tool issues them. Both must be the complete report rather than a summary page. Reports from DrillBit, Turnitin and iThenticate are accepted.
  • Both reports were generated within the last 90 days, on the same title and authors as the manuscript.
  • The similarity report was generated with the bibliography excluded, quoted matter excluded, and matches below 1% excluded, and shows 10% or below on those settings.
  • The manuscript is anonymised: no author names, affiliations or acknowledgements in the file or in its document properties.
  • Every author is listed with an institution, a country and, where they have one, an ORCID iD.
  • The manuscript follows the Formatting Guidelines.

Articles

Full research articles carrying an original argument. 6,000 to 10,000 words including footnotes.

Case Comments

Commentary on decisions of the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court, WTO panels and investment tribunals. 2,500 to 5,000 words.

Current Developments

Treaties, resolutions and institutional change in international law and governance. 2,000 to 4,000 words.

Book Reviews

Reviews of recent scholarship in international law and governance. 1,500 to 2,500 words.
